Guided tour of The Cold War Naval Ships

Visit The Cold War Naval Ships on a guided tour

Learn about the Danish naval defence during The Cold War as you board warships from that era.

Visit the submarine SÆLEN and hear about the fast attack craft with missiles and torpedoes SEHESTED on a guided tour before you explore the frigate PEDER SKRAM on your own. The three naval ships display three different sections of the Danish naval defence during The Cold War.

THE SHIPS
The silent submarine SÆLEN was used to spy on enemy communication. SEHESTED, the fast attack craft with missiles and torpedoes, was set to carry out the first attack. The frigate PEDER SKRAM was the flagship and the last line of defence.

When boarding SÆLEN and PEDER SKRAM, you can experience life as it was onboard with galleys, operations rooms, sleeping quarters, etc. still intact.

At this time, SEHESTED is undergoing re-registration with the Danish Maritime Authority. Therefore it is not possible to board the ships. Your guide will talk about the ship and the weapon systems from the quay.
