How much does it cost?
Admission to the Experience Centre is free untill the 1st of May.
As of May 1st 2024, the following ticket prices apply at Kongernes Jelling:
Adult: 120 DKK
Group (+10 pax): 110 DKK per person.
Children under 18: Free
For groups on booked guided tours: 90 DKK per person.

Riding your bicycle to Kongernes Jelling?
Both Hærvejen/The Ancient Road (National Bicycle route no. 3) as well as on Middelalderruten (Regional Bicycle route no. 35) takes you by Kongernes Jelling. We are part of Bike Friend Vejle so you can borrow both a pump, patch gear and have your water bottle refilled while visiting us.

Riding the bus or the train?
Kongernes Jelling is easily accessible by both train and bus. You can see the UNESCO Monument area from the train station and the walk to Kongernes Jelling takes less than 5 minutes.
Jelling has hourly train departures for Vejle (connection to Århus, Aalborg and Billund), for Fredericia (connection to Odense, Copenhagen, Kolding, Sønderborg, Esbjerg) and to Herning (Skjern, Silkeborg, Holsterbro, Struer, Thisted).
Every other hour direct trains IC-Lyn to/from Copenhagen and Odense.
On weekdays, bus no. 211 connects Jelling with Vejle every hour. For both bus and train schedules, visit Rejseplanen.
What if we come as a group?
All are welcome, but we would ask that larger groups announce their arrival to ensure the best experience for all visitors.
Can I buy something to eat and drink?
There is a café in the Experience Centre that sells hot and cold beverages and cake. The café can also serve lunch if ordered ahead of time (see Café Kongernes Jelling).
Can I bring my own food?
Outside in the Monument Area there are tables and benches for eating your own food. Inside in the Experience Centre only food and beverages bought in the Café are allowed.
Are dogs allowed?
Only service dogs are allowed.
Can I bring a baby carriage?
We recommend that baby carriages be parked in our foyer when there are many people in the exhibition, but strollers are welcome.
Can I get around in a wheelchair?
Yes, Kongernes Jelling Experience Centre is accesable with wheelchair and walker. It is also possible to borrow a wheelchair on arrival.
Do you have wifi?
Yes we do. There is free wifi on "Natmus_Guest".
Can I take pictures and shoot video?
Yes, but only for private use. And we will be very happy, if you tag uploaded pictures with #kongernesjelling and #natmus.
Is there a wardrobe?
In the basement there is a wardrobe.

Smoking?
The Experience Centre is a no smoking area.
