Karin Margarita Frei is the National Museum's first permanent (full) professor, and Denmark's first professor in archaeometry, an interdisciplinary field between archaeology and natural sciences. She is member of the The Danish Royal Academy of Sciences and Letters and has received some of the most prestigious national and international awards, including the Danish Masters Association's research award and the Shanghai Archaeological Forum's Research Award. She is project director of several research projects, among others “Tales of Bronze Age People”, and is the author of a large number of research-related scientific articles and popular science publications, as well as a bestseller book (in Danish).
