Martin Wangsgaard Jürgensen’s research field is the cultural history of Christianity in a broad sense, with a particular focus on the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. He has worked to integrate written and material sources in his research on Christian art and religious material culture and always begin with the question of what things and actions mean and how they have been used ritually.
