Mikkel Thelle works with the cultural history of the welfare society, urban development and modern cultural history more generally. He tries to look at the role of the environment and nature in relation to those interests, and thus, for example, he is working with the role of water in the development of modern Copenhagen. Another cultural-historical track that interests him is the history of experience, and here he is currently working with sound as a social instrument in 18th and 20th century urban spaces. He also deals with infrastructure and its significance, among other things for citizenship in the welfare society.
