Poul Klenz Larsen

Poul Klenz Larsen has a MSc (1990) and a Ph.D. (1998) in building physics from the Technical University in Copenhagen. He has been senior advisor at the National Museum of Denmark since 2005, and a consultant for the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs since 2010. His main working areas are energy efficient heating and climate control in cultural heritage buildings, in particular in medieval churches. His main field of research and consultancy lies in low energy storage for archives and museums, and he has authored numerous publications on this subject. Another branch of research is salt and moisture in historic buildings, particularly in masonry, and development of mortars for restoration. He has taught courses in architecture and conservation at the School of conservation in Copenhagen, at Uppsala University and at Gothenburg University. He is a fellow of the IIC and a member of ICOMOS.
