Studies and reports

Report on play 2025
In 2025, we have examined nine different play experiences at eight visitor sites in MMTP. The insights are published in a report that highlights trends across the sites.
Our studies in 2025 not only provide concrete knowledge about museum users' experiences at each visitor site – they have also brought us closer to understanding what play means in a museum context. At the same time, the work has sharpened our focus on how best to study play as part of the museum experience, and it sets the direction for future studies in MMTP.
Are you curious about our insights across the playful experiences, or would you like to know more about how museum users play at the individual sites?
Partnership
The National Museum collaborates with leading play researchers and experts from the Lab for Play and Design (Design School Kolding) to ensure the success of the program.

The program is funded by the LEGO Foundation.
