The 1950s in Denmark

With the Cold War between capitalism and communism came the fear of nuclear war in 1950s Denmark. However, after the end of the Second World War there was also belief that the future would be brighter than the past. Dissatisfaction with the values of their parents gave the youth of the 1950s their own new identity, and the traditional roles of the sexes were increasingly challenged during the decade.
