Insights
What does research say about play in museums? We have conducted a series of review studies that summarize where, how, and why play is practiced in museums.

In our review studies, we for instance found that:
- There is a growing interest in play at museums.
- Play is typically aimed at children.
- Play especially helps increase engagement, learning, and enjoyment.
