Summer at the Danish War Museum
Regardless of what the Danish summer has in store, whether it be scorching temperatures or pouring rain, Christian IV's old arsenal is a pleasant spot to seek shade or shelter during the holiday.
The War Museum offers plenty of fun and exciting activities for young and old throughout the summer. You could delve into some of our wonderful and quirky objects, like the 100-year-old biscuit from the Battle of Isted, the hair lock of the naval hero Peter Wessel (which holds a love story), or the armored vehicle that was hit by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Children and the young at heart may unleash their creativity in our workshop, or engage in fun activities like cannonball throwing or shooting with NERF guns.
And if you need some fresh air, you can step out into our courtyard to see a real tank, or try your luck against a soldier from World War I.
