How to find us

How to find us

Frøslev Camp is located right on the border with Germany in the town of Padborg. From exit 76 on the Sønderjyske Motorway (the last exit before the border), it's just a 2-minute drive to the camp's car parks. From there it's a 5-minute walk to the museum.

The museum's three buildings (the main watchtower, barracks H4 and H6) are located in the centre of the camp. Upon arrival at the camp's main gate, the easiest thing to do is to look for the flagpole. When this can be seen in its full length, the three buildings of the museum will also come into view.

Please start by going to barrack H6, where you will find information and ticket sales.

Returning artefacts / archives: Do you have an object etc. that is relevant to the museum and that you would like to return? Please send pictures of the object(s) along with a description to our curator Dennis LarsenDLA@natmus.dk

Unfortunately, it is not possible to return objects to the museum without prior contact with Dennis.

Genealogical research and subject-related questions: If your enquiry concerns the search for relatives or other subject-related questions, please write to our curators Dennis Larsen DLA@natmus.dkor Gry Scavenius Bertelsen GBE@natmus.dk

Public transport

Train: The nearest train station is Padborg. From here it is approximately 4 kilometres to the camp. These can be travelled either on foot, by bike or by taxi.

There are no public transport connections to Frøslev Camp. See bus route 661 at Sydtrafik

Parking

Public car parks are available outside the camp area. There are disabled parking spaces near the entrance to the camp area.

Unfortunately, we have no car parks attached to the museum. It is not allowed to drive or park in the camp area.

Food and beverage

It is possible to enjoy food and drinks in the camp's packed lunch house in barrack W9, which is located near the entrance at the main gate.

If you have any questions regarding the Madpakkehuset, please contact Aabenraa Municipality at froeslevlejren@aabenraa.dk

It is not permitted to bring or consume ice, food and drinks in the museum's exhibitions.
