Denmark during World War II
From April 9th 1940 to May 4th 1945.
The occupation of Denmark lasted five long years. Many peoples’ lives were affected and the Danish people had to choose if they wanted to cooperate with the German Nazis, join the resistance movement or just continue as if nothing had happened.
With the basis of the chronological exhibition and the historical people, we will investigate the occupation together with the students.
We dive down into the everyday lives with rations and cover-up curtains, but we will also look into the Danish resistance movement, which methods of resistance they practised and the rescue of the Danish Jews in 1943, before we round-up at the liberation.
