Resist?
Go underground and travel back in time to the occupation of Denmark and come closer to the resistance fight during World War II.
In the shadowy streets of the occupation, we meet different historical people. Every one of them has chosen a side and every one of them must face the consequences. We meet Danes who have joined the Resistance, who work with the Germans and those who are just trying to live a normal life.
It was not always easy to choose a side. The population and the government were faced with many moral and personal dilemmas when dealing with the German occupational forces. During this guided tour, the students will be faced with different dilemmas focused around the different historical people we meet in the exhibition.
Based on their stories, the students will work in groups with different dilemmas focused on resistance, collaboration and the consequences of these.
To round up, the students will present and discuss their dilemmas and we will contextualise to today’s debate about the occupation.
