Agricultural history and everyday life
Agricultural history covers many areas, including everyday life, dwellings, production history, technological developments, social organisation, power, customs, tradition and clothes.
There are a wealth of objects and stories relevant to the history of agriculture in the collections of the National Museum. Agricultural history is represented in the exhibition “Stories of Denmark” and at the Open Air Museum.
The archives of “the National Museum’s Ethnological Surveys” and “Farm Surveys” contain extensive and personal sources about the agricultural lives of the past.
